Editorial policy & disclaimer

Purpose and independence

This is an independent interface for exploring publicly indexed news records. It is not affiliated with Liveuamap, GDELT, Google, a government or any armed group. Links and category labels do not imply endorsement. No proprietary Liveuamap feed is used.

Accuracy, neutrality and responsible use

Reports, actors, categories and locations are automatically extracted and may be wrong, duplicated, historical or incomplete. They have not been independently verified by this site. Allegations remain attributed claims, not findings of guilt. Map names and boundaries do not express a position on sovereignty or territorial status. Information is provided for general research, without a promise of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular use. Do not rely on it for personal safety, travel, emergency response or operational decisions. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Translations, images and external links

News translations are automated and can distort meaning. Check the original source. Publisher images may be illustrative, outdated or disturbing; an image is not independent verification of an event. Embedded images are restricted to hosts the operator has explicitly approved after checking reuse rights. Other images should be viewed at the original publisher. External sites have their own content, terms and privacy practices.

Advertising and editorial separation

No advertising is currently loaded. If enabled later, ads will be labeled and limited to reviewed reading pages. The live map and automated report panels remain ad-free. Advertisements are not endorsements or evidence. Payment does not determine report categories or map locations. Sensitive-event, copyright and content rules still apply; a disclaimer does not override them.

Sources & credits

Each report links to its original publisher. GDELT identifiers, timestamps and source links describe provenance, not verification. Citation does not grant permission to reproduce articles or images. Copyright and other rights remain with their respective owners.

Privacy & cookies

Browser storage and data requests

The app stores interface language, filters, preferences and translation results in localStorage, and downloaded event batches in IndexedDB on your device. These caches persist until replaced, cleared by you or removed by your browser; they are not an account profile. This version adds no analytics, advertising cookies or location permission requests. Search filtering runs locally. Map tile requests can reveal the geographic area and zoom level you are viewing to the map provider. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, browser information and request logs under their own policies.

Services contacted by your browser

The map requests tiles, styles and fonts from OpenFreeMap and the services referenced by those map resources; GDELT provides event and article metadata files. When translating public report text, the browser may send that text to MyMemory (Translated) and query names on Wikidata. Those services receive connection information such as your IP address. Approved embedded images contact the image host; opening an original story contacts that publisher. This deployment is hosted by Hostinger. These third parties may process data in other countries. Their policies are linked below. Do not enter confidential information into translation controls.

Future ads and consent

AdSense is disabled in this version. If activated, Google and its partners may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers for ad delivery, measurement and, where consented, personalization. Required consent must be obtained through a configured Google-certified platform before ad requests. Refusing consent must leave the map usable. A privacy-settings control will be available where the consent integration operates. The current integration does not serve ads where its supported consent signal is unavailable. This notice must be reviewed with the operator’s identity, jurisdiction, retention practices and enabled vendors before activation.

Your controls

Use browser site-data settings to remove this app’s local caches and preferences. Choose English or original wording to avoid new automated report-translation requests. You can stop using the page to stop feed updates. Rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data depend on applicable law; contact the operator using the email below. Clearing this app’s caches does not delete records held by outside publishers, translators or hosting providers.

If you email the operator, your address and message are used to respond to and assess your request, using the operator’s email provider. Please send only necessary information. A retention schedule and any additional legal obligations need to be reviewed before commercial launch.

On supported desktop browsers, you can enable device translation. Your browser may download language packs; translations then run on your device instead of sending the report text to an online translator. Availability depends on browser support and a secure connection.

Corrections & rights requests

For a correction, privacy concern or rights request, include the report ID, source URL, the disputed material, the requested change and supporting evidence. For copyright requests, also identify the protected work and your authority to act. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless a secure, necessary process has been agreed. Requests can be sent to the email below. This page has no submission form; opening an email link does not send a message. The operator can correct this interface but cannot edit an outside publisher’s article.
